Mandy Kelly is a 6th Grade multiple subject teacher in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District and a 2020 California Teacher of the Year. She recognizes the necessity for innovation in eqitable education, and embraces new strategies and technologies, from flexible seating, to virtual reality. She uses her passion for engagement and integrated technology in leading committees focused on curriculum design and professional development.

Mandy Kelly appreciates the unique voices that children have and empowers them to use it. She teaches with the intention that by arming students not only with the ability to take risks and fail forward, but the social and emotional tools to do so, we empower them to find their voice, and ultimately use it to leave their mark in the world. Mandy created the student driven kindness program, The SEAKers (Students Engaging in Acts of Kindness), emphasizing empathy and understanding, while empowering students to connect globally.

Mandy resides in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, with her husband and two children.
