I have had the privilege to serve in education for 27 years. I was honored by being named Teacher of the Year for two school districts and as a 2011 California Teacher of the Year. Over the years, I have served in many capacities in education: as a classroom Teacher for grades 2-6, Instructional Coach, District Coordinator, Staff Developer, as well as Elementary School Principal. My driving passion is to equip teachers to create learning environments where all students are thoroughly engaged, feel emotionally and socially safe, and learn at high levels.

After retiring from full-time employment this summer of 2020, I will be partnering with Value- Focused Company to write resources for Social Emotional Learning and Value-Focused Education for teachers. I will be available beginning August 2020 to speak to your district or school on the topics of: Social Emotional Learning, Value-Focused Teaching, Best Practices, and Student Motivation.
